Recipe: Choco-Coco Granola
Love Granola but looking for something that has a grain-free base? Try this deliciously nutty choco-coco granola.
This nut based granola is packed with nutrients that provide all the goodness the body needs to perform, move AND recover, which will help you kick start the day. Plus who can resist some chocolate flavours in the morning?!
This recipe is Sugar, Gluten and Grain Free, whilst offering all sorts of good Fats, anti-inflammatory properties and keeps you (and your hormones) happy!
1 Cup Shredded Coconut
2 Cups Roughly Chopped Nuts of choice - Hazelnuts, Walnuts, Almonds & Brazil Nuts
2 Tablespoons Chia Seeds
2 Tablespoons Sunflower Seeds
1 Tablespoon Pumpkin Seeds
2 Tablespoons Maca Powder
1 Generous Dash Cinnamon
1/2 Cup Raw Cacao Powder
1/4 Cup Melted Coconut Oil
Preheat Oven to 120°C
Mix all of the dry ingredients together before adding over the melted coconut oil. Thoroughly combine, ensuring the coconut oil has covered all of the dry mixture.
Pour the mixture over a baking tray and spread evenly.
Bake for around 25-30 minutes, giving it a turn and shake around half way through to ensure nothing is catching.
Remove from the oven when it looks dark and crunchy, with a delicious fragrant aroma!
Leave to cool before storing in airtight container for up to two weeks.
Best served sprinkled over some high quality Greek or Coconut Yoghurt or as a topping for your Chia Pots!
