A One Word "Resolution"

We are one month into 2017 and a few days into the Chinese New Year. Both being markers of time which for many spark a period of reflection, introversion and analysis to create "resolutions" in the form of all the things they WILL or MUST achieve, conquer or fulfill by years end. 

December Gifts (To Myself)

December is here and I feel simultaneously relieved that this year is almost over and slightly shocked that 2016 is already wrapping up. This is a year that has had its up and downs, but looking back, those highs have been incredible and I've had opportunities and experiences enter my life that I hadn't expected nor thought a possibility!


Hygge [pronounced Hue-gah] is a Danish word (though many other Scandinavian countries have a similar term for the concept) which has no direct translation to the English language. Instead it describes a feeling or mood created from taking genuine pleasure in making ordinary, everyday things more meaningful, special or beautiful to you, thus it can be seen as a ritual of enjoying the simple pleasures of life.

September Check-In

A new month brings that wave of resolution to start afresh and refocus to kick butt. As crazy as it seems, we are now into the final stretch of 2016 and so, for me, it's time to really get my ass into gear to achieve some of the goals I set at the beginning of the year, to check in to what has changed or grown over the past 8 months and to re-design to allow the creation of some new short term goals to really go out of this year with a bang!
