In-Flight Essentials

When traveling up to 28 hours on a long haul flight, there are some absolute essentials that I throw into my carry on bag to ensure I keep my skin fresh & glowing, immunity levels up to ward off any lurking bugs that around the planes & airports, and some make up mini's to feel a little less dishevelled upon arrival.

Generally, I'm pretty low-maintenance when it comes to beauty and make-up regimes and these products tend to be what I would use not only for the plane ride, but for the entire duration of my travels and adventures.

Some of these reccomendations are my all-time favourite travel essentials and others are a little newer into the mix, but each is perfect in their travel size form to fit into your cabin bag and ensure you feel a little more like yourself upon arrival in your destination!

Hydraluron Moisture Boosting Sheet Masks

I have to admit, I've been sucked into to trying these Korean beauty inspired Sheet Masks out due to their increasing popularity across Social Media. Known to boost hydration and increase the radiant glow we all want, these sheet masks are perfect for when the lights have been dimmed and the air-con is beginning to suction out the moisture from your face!

Bach Flower Rescue Remedy

Rescue Remedy has been my secret weapon for many of life's hairy situations and whilst I am a pretty relaxed and easy traveler, I always keep a mini vial on me to help ease the last-minute stress and anticipation that travelling can bring. A few drops on the tongue eases out the body & mind and helps unwind prior to take off or when it's a little difficult to fall asleep.

Skin & Tonic Rose Mist

A Rose Water Mist is always in my carry on bag as I LOVE spritzing my face throughout the journey to feel revived and refreshed. I'm trialing out the new Skin & Tonic London range and am loving the organic, "could eat it if you wanted to" approach the company has. This mist is softly fragrance and feels instantly cooling on the skin. It is a perfect base for any oils or moisturizers you use.

Sukin Certified Organic Rose Hip Oil

This Australian organic brand has been stocked in my beauty cabinet for the majority of the year and I love their skincare ranges of face & body washes and facial exfoliators. As a general fan of Rose-Hip Oil, I started using this one about 2 months ago and am loving the texture, way it soaks into my skin and the finish. During a flight this is like heaven to dry skin and adds a little bit of radiance and vitality back to the tired areas of the face.

Skin & Tonic Calm Balm

Another one from Skin & Tonic is this beautiful little herbal ointment which can be rubbed on the temples and inner wrist for an aromatherapy calming effect, or applied to sore, dry areas of skin to help reduce redness or friction. The soft fragrance of Lavender, Chamomile and Rosemary brings some peaceful zen vibes and is a nice touch to help you relax when it's time to try and get a few hours sleep deep within the journey!

Benefit High Beam Highlighter

When arriving at my destination, I don't like to feel completely disheveled, and so I keep my makeup minimal and fresh, but with a hint of glow. When in Benefit recently I found the perfect set of travel sized mini's of their top rated make-up products, which I grabbed to trial out for my new cabin-bag essentials. This highlighter is easy to apply with the fingers just above the cheekbones and below the brow line to add a hint of glow and radiance to the face.

Benefit They're Real Mascara

Mascara is a staple in any beauty bag and this Benefit one in mini-size is perfect to help open your eyes back up after a long journey and make you look a little more awake, even if you don't feel it!

Skin & Tonic Rose Lip Balm

This organic lip balm has got to be my favourite product from the Skin & Tonic range. So good that you actually want to be licking your lips (and you could due to the organic ingrediants!). The balm is soft, but super hydrating and has a lovely gentle rose fragrance. The shape of the tube means easy and generous application and helps prevent any sort of chapped, dry lips in-flight!

Benefit Hoola Bronzer

To bring back a little colour to the usual tired, drained face of a traveler, I'm using the much-raved about Benefit Hoola Bronzer in it's mini form - perhaps not in the least so I look less like the pale Londoner returning home to Australia when I land back amongst the sun-kissed summer crowds!

Jane Iredale Dream Tint (Medium)

I recently started using this Organic, Vegan, Cruetly Free beauty brand and am absolutely LOVING this tinted moisturiser. It is light & dreamy, with SPF 15+ UVB/UVA, it contains ingredients that help protect, nourish and heal your skin, so it's basically like a facial treatment and tint all in one! It provides a soft focused finish and feels just beautiful on the skin. This one is definitely in the essentials to keep my skin looking & feeling great!

Ener-C Assorted Flavours

These Ener-C effervescent Vitamin C and Multi-Vitamin sachets are the BEST thing to take to keep your immune system boosted whilst traveling. Packed with 1,000mg of Vitamin C, they also have Vitamin B's, Zinc, Vitamin A and key electrolytes, to keep your immunity high, muscular system functioning properly after being cramped into contortions in your seat and leave you feeling just a little more energized and healthy along the way. I load up before, during and after my flights to make sure I stay clear of any lingering bugs floating around the plane and airports. Cannot recommend these ones enough!

Aussie Miracle Dry Shampoo

Dry Shampoo is a must, because we all know that planes lead to lifeless, limp and frizzy hair! To help fight it off, I love this Aussie one for a little extra volume and a little less shine along my roots.

So there are my essentials to be packed up ready for take-off!

Let me know if you have any other reccomendations you use for long-haul travel or if you try out any of my faves!
